Last year, the security forces had launched Operation 'Double Bull' against the Maoists in the Latehar-Lohardaga inner forests of Jharkhand. During this, a Maoist terrorist Dinesh Nagesia was killed in an encounter. And 3 sub-zonal commanders and one area commander, including a terrorist active as a zonal commander in the Maoist terrorist organization with a reward of Rs 10 lakh, were arrested. These arrests were carried out by the security forces in the month of February.

Such news has come to the fore that these Maoist terrorists are related to the banned Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also started a fresh investigation to investigate this connection.

In fact, when the security forces launched a campaign against the Maoists, 28 weapons were recovered from them, some of which were such that only the army of a country had them.

After these weapons came to the fore, the NIA was also involved in this case. After this, in the initial investigation itself, it was revealed that these weapons were supplied to the Maoist terrorists through the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa.

This is not the first or new news about the connection between Maoist terrorists and anti-India international terrorist organizations, in fact news related to such relations is coming out for the last 4 decades.

First, on December 27, 1981, an Indian Express report claimed that there is a link between Khalistani terrorists and Maoist terrorists. This was the period when Khalistani terror was at its peak and was expanding in Punjab.

During this, efforts were made by a Khalistani supporter regarding the alliance between Khalistani terrorists and Naxalites. Bakshish Singh, a former British postal employee of Indian origin, carried out these efforts.

In fact, on December 2, 1981, when Indira Gandhi's government in the Lok Sabha had shrugged off the matter related to the Maoists, saying that law and order was a state matter, Indian Express investigated the matter after 25 days. The report related to this was published.

The main objective of the nexus between Maoists and international terrorist organizations is to destabilize India, affect the lives of its citizens and ultimately disintegrate India. To fulfill this purpose, these international organizations including Maoists are also given various types of assistance including economic through anti-India forces.

Activities like supplying arms, providing financial assistance, connecting local youth with these terrorist organizations through their organizations are also carried out by anti-India global organizations.

In a report published in The Quint in the year 2016 regarding these activities, it was said that the Jihadi elements of Bangladesh and West Bengal are now joining hands with the Maoists to destabilize and divide India.

In this report, it was claimed that there is a nexus between Pakistani agency ISI, Assam's terrorist organization ULFA and Maoist terrorists and through this, arms and funds are being supplied to Maoist terrorists across the country by ISI.

There have been several reports regarding the link between ISI and Maoists, claiming that Maoist terrorist organizations have links with Pakistan.

In the year 2019, when G-3 rifles and other weapons were recovered from the spot after an encounter between security personnel and Maoists in Dhur Maoist affected area of Kanker in Chhattisgarh. h

After the investigation of the weapons, it was revealed that the weapons recovered from the Maoist terrorists are the same weapons used by the Pakistani Army. These weapons manufactured by a German company are bought by the Pakistani Army.

After these weapons came to the fore, the then Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh DM Awasthi had said that the rifles recovered from the Maoists were not used by the Indian security forces, but by the Pakistani Army. Apart from Kanker, the Chhattisgarh police also recovered G-3 rifles from Maoist terrorists after an encounter in Sukma.

Apart from this, in the year 2019 itself, such cartridges were recovered after an encounter in the inner forests of Nawada during the campaign against the Maoists by the security forces in Bihar, whose connection with Pakistan or other Islamic terrorist organization was expressed. The cartridges recovered by the security personnel during the search operation had writings in Urdu.

On this matter, the then SSP of Nawada had said that there is a possibility that arms are being supplied to the Maoists from across the border. After this incident, there were also speculations about Maoists' connection with ISIS.

And in the year 2010, Ben West in one of his reports in Stratfor mentioned that there is a connection between the Maoists and the Islamic terrorist organization and they have also met. Ben had claimed that the terrorists of the Islamic terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba had met with the Maoists.

Some senior police officers of Chhattisgarh were quoted as saying that two terrorists of the Islamic terrorist organization Lashkar had attended a Maoist meeting during April or May 2010.

This was also the time when Maoist terrorists carried out the biggest and deadliest Maoist terror attack in the country. The attack was carried out in the erstwhile Dantewada district in which 76 CRPF personnel lost their lives.

Not only Lashkar, Maoists' links with global Islamic terrorist organizations like ISIS have also come to the fore. In 2016, the NIA filed a charge sheet in the court saying that the international terrorist organization wants to create terror in India like the Maoists.

Information had also come that people associated with terrorist organizations reach Bastar from time to time and consider making their strategy like Maoists. According to a report, in order to expand like Maoists and carry out their terrorist activities in India, international terrorist organizations have held several meetings to take training from Maoists.

Despite so many reports about the nexus and links between Maoists and international terrorist organizations, the media and leftist groups not mentioning it is also part of a larger conspiracy.

In fact, Maoist terrorists are projected as fighting for water-forest-land in rural and tribal areas, besides they are called the messiah of the tribes.

Along with this narrative, the urban Maoists and leftist thinkers sitting in the cities defend these Maoists. But if the Maoists' relations with international terrorist organizations come to the fore, then it can be a challenge for the urban Naxalites to take this narrative forward and give an ideological shield to the acts of the Maoists.

This is the reason that despite Maoists having links with international terrorists over the years, leftist media and thinkers never allowed this nexus to become a topic of mainstream discussion.
