Marxist-Leninist politics has become irrelevant in the world today. Even in the European countries where it originated, it is difficult to find anyone taking its name, but in India even today it not only has its influence but is also gradually flourishing.
Communism still has influence not only in Indian politics but also in educational institutions. The reasons for this situation are diverse, some of which are our misfortune and some are also political mistakes. It is difficult to treat this disease without fully understanding the various points.
One thing is clear that communism is a global disease. Even after all the claims of Marxist politics have been exposed, today in some places not only the Left but even its most dangerous recommendations are looked upon with respect.
The main reason for this is that communism has been presented as helpful to the poor and weak people. Even if in practical terms it leads to further misery for the weak, when an idea is couched in communist jargon, even the most intelligent people accept it with sympathy.
This was accurately described by the Russian writer Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn through the metaphor of the 'Coriolis Effect' of geography.
In fact, the Russian writer Solzhenitsyn had said that the 'Coriolis Effect' is the same all over the Earth, and the flow of rivers is such that the right bank always cuts and breaks, while the flood water spreads on the left bank. Similarly, all forms of democratic liberalism on earth attack the Right and embrace the Left.
Their sympathies are always with the Left, their feet are inclined to move only towards the Left, their busy heads are always inclined to listen to the Left's arguments - but if they take a step to hear a word from the Right, So we feel ashamed.
We have to understand that leftism has always been described as better than all other ideologies, no matter what efforts have been made for this. Everyone also knows how much contribution the Left has made in India's independence and on which side the people of Left ideology were when China attacked India. But still an attempt was made to prove communism as the best.
There are many reasons for increasing communist influence in India. Since before independence, India was ruled by the British, due to which the people of the country received only foreign education in the name of education, which promoted Indian philosophy, thinking, tradition and culture as inferior and Western thinking as the best.
Since Marxist and leftist ideologies are also the origin of western civilization, hence they were also given importance. In the nineteenth-twentieth century, many leaders and scholars of our country went abroad for studies and returned to India influenced by communism in the form of fashion prevalent there.
After influencing the Indian public with foreign education, an attempt was made to influence the national and religious thinking of the country and to incline the revolutionaries towards Marxism. The British, having experience and foresight, knew that the historical inspirations of India were fatal for their colonial power, hence they left no stone unturned in spreading the Marxist germs to divide and disease Indian nationalism.
The important role of the communists here in dividing India on the basis of religion and creating Pakistan should also be understood in the same background. In disintegrating Indian nationalism, British imperialism, Islamic imperialism and Communist imperialism, all three worked separately but to achieve the same goal.
However, this important fact was always hidden from the people of the country in independent India. That is why our young generation does not know those things of history which were actually true, and all this was possible because the first Prime Minister of independent India was a communist supporter.
Mahatma Gandhi, out of his personal love and attachment, without any reason, used his prestige and declared Jawaharlal Nehru as his successor, whereas Nehru's thoughts, policies, character etc. did not match with Gandhi. Nehru's ideas were in line with the ideas of communism, the proof of this is his entire writings and speeches.
According to the book Genesis and Growth of Nehruism by famous writer Sitaram Goyal, under Nehru's leadership, critical discussion towards Marxism-Leninism and the Soviet Union was stopped in the country through force, misuse of power, censorship, inducement, encouragement or discouragement and undemocratic methods.
Overall, complete arrangements were made through deceit, force, trickery and misuse of power etc. so that the general public could not know about the misdeeds of the leftist groups and be sympathetic towards the leftist group. The most unfortunate thing in this entire process was the sudden demise of Sardar Patel, after which there was no one to stop Nehru's hand.
Other nationalists were either sidelined or maintained silence. In this situation, Nehru not only gave the communist ideology but also the communists a higher position ideologically and politically.
Since that was also the period of establishment of the policies and traditions of independent India, the communist ideas, illusions, slogans etc. which got the first official approval, later on took the place of the established values and its dominance continues even today. Is.
The government's support for this process facilitated the fact that non-Left, nationalist minded people, organizations and institutions did not understand its lethal consequences and hence did not mount any strong, organized opposition; This was the reason why leftist ideas, its deadly slogans and actions started being respected by the public.
However, the result of all these misfortunes was that with time the theory and practice of communism started getting exposed in all the developed, civilized countries.
Even then, confusion remained among the educated people about it in independent India. Meanwhile, from Nehru to Indira Gandhi, leftist ideology made deep infiltration in many institutions including educational and ideological ones.
Today the situation is such that the Left is moving forward in the country even though many such works are being done by it which are no less than a fatal disease for the country. If this disease is not addressed quickly, it can have devastating consequences.
